Rappel 43m (142 ft) waterside rock cliffs
$99.95 + taxes per person for guided session and all equipment. Length of session will depend on the participants abilities and confidence level.
- Normal weight restriction: 34 kg (75 lbs) minimum
Enjoy an exhilarating descent on the 43m (142 ft) cliffs overlooking the Bay of Fundy's giant tides and spectacular currents. All rappelling equipment is provided and our experienced Adventure Guides will give you pre-instruction, as well as pointers during the entire rappel session.
The actual number of descents depends upon your energy and the fitness of the group. Generally, 2 or more rappel runs can be anticipated. Return to the rappel deck at the cliff top is via a stairway from the fossil beach and subsequently along a hillside trail. The return walk/hike is the most exhausting part of the rappelling adventure and takes 3-5 minutes for the average person.
Group size is limited to a maximum of 10 people per session. Larger groups can be accommodated if they have booked as a group and agree to certain conditions.
Rappelling is not weather dependent, except in extreme conditions. Sessions normally last for 1 1/2 to 2 hours depending on the individuals ability and confidence level. When booking a reservation, you will be registered in the session that is the best fit for you and for local conditions. Time extensions are not normally possible for those who arrive late.*
Clients should wear a dark or an old t-shirt or sweatshirt as the rope may leave a stain on your clothing. Footwear should be hiking shoes/boots or running shoes that have good traction. Bringing lots of water is also recommended, as it is important to remain hydrated.
Prices are for individuals and groups less than 6 people.
See our price list for full details of pricing and our cancellation policy.
Liability Waivers Are Required For All Adventures. Participants must pay in advance and sign a standard liability waiver. Participants who are not yet 19 years of age must have the waiver signed by a parent. Participants should arrive 30 minutes prior to appointment to allow sufficient time for equipment sizing and instruction.
Due to insurance requirements, participants must be accompanied by adventure staff and may not use their own equipment.
*Because rappelling takes place on ocean front cliffs, it is imperative to arrive at the scheduled time; an extension of time cannot be guaranteed.
