  • Position Title: Waiter/Waitress
    Company: Cape Enrage Interpretive Centre Inc.
    Reports to: General Manager
    Location: Cape Enrage, NB
  • Starting Wages: $12.25/hour, more if candidate has experience

Principal Purpose:
Greeting and serving customers, providing detailed information on menus, multi-tasking various front-of-the-house duties collecting the bill, as well as bussing the tables, get them ready for the next guests and clean dishes. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Providing excellent wait service to ensure satisfaction
• Taking customer orders and delivering food and beverages
• Greet and escort customers to their tables
• Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
• Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses
• Up-sell additional products when appropriate
• Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
• Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
• Deliver checks and collect bill payments
• Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning
• Clean dishes when needed
• Clean washrooms daily
• Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations
• Follow all relevant health and safety department regulations 

  • Qualifications/Conditions of Employment:
  • • Experience with taking payment is an asset
    • Candidate must be fluent in English; French is an asset
    • Candidate must have the ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced environment
    • Candidate must be polite & courteous to all visitors
    • Candidate must be outgoing, friendly, and well-spoken
    • Willingness to wear an official Cape Enrage uniform in accordance with the uniform policy of Cape Enrage Interpretive Centre Inc.
    • Willingness to participate in any training or mentoring provided, and apply knowledge to day to day operations
    • Candidate must possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Candidate must be willing to be cross-trained to help facilitate other activities when needed
